What is pr15.dll?

Hello, Actually i do not have any software to use as a security software on my windows 7 operating system. Initially i was using norton anti virus but it was just a trial version. Just before 2 days i have done a online scan of my computer on and i have got pr15.dll as a malicious file on my computer. I just do not trust on online scans so i want to ask you that what is pr15.dll, is it really a malicious file, because if it would be some important file then i can ignore the result of my online scan.

If you do not have any software that can handle the security of your computer then i would suggest you to use firewall which is a inbuilt security feature provided in every windows operating system. Firewall is a main gateway from which each and every bit of any data passes. So if any malicious data comes at your windows firewall the you would be getting an immediate warning about the same. You switch it ON from the Network And Security provided in the Control Panel.

Whenever you face any problem while deleting the viruses on your computer then i suggest you to use Safe Mode of the Windows Operating system as it is the booting mode which assure the safety of your important data while you remove the viruses from your computer. You have to restart your computer and keep on pressing F8 key when your computer gets started which will take you to the Booting Options.
