Unable to remove Trojan-Downloader.JS.Multi.ca

I am suffering from this virus problem which is called "Trojan-Downloader.JS.Multi.ca", which is a trojan virus which was installed mistakenly in my computer through internet. Whenever i open or start my computer, every time i get an security popup stating that i need to update it to remove viruses which are present on my computer. I have Avast antivirus on my computer, but it fails to detect it and delete it. Please help me to remove this virus and also provide me some suggestion on any of the antivirus which can remove this virus.
