Protection for the system from Gen:Trojan.Heur.Kq2@vnEgQdkix

I am using Windows XP operating system and my browser is Internet Explorer 8. I am searching for the techniques that will help me for the protection for the system from Gen:Trojan.Heur.Kq2@vnEgQdkix. This is an infection, that enters my computer, when the internet is started. I delete it everytime with the help of the AVG antivirus, that has been installed in my system. But, then too I keep getting its alerts when the internet is started.

The protection for the system from Gen:Trojan.Heur.Kq2@vnEgQdkix can be done if the links to the web sites are avoided. These links that are provided on the web pages have the possibility of containing infections and hence, the unsuspecting users click on such links and ultimately the infections enter into the computer. As a result, they fall prey to such an attack.

You can start the firewall in the system as follows for the protection for the system from Gen:Trojan.Heur.Kq2@vnEgQdkix. The steps for the same are given below:
  1. Click on Start.
  2. Then, click on Control Panel.
  3. After that, go to Network and Internet Connections.
  4. There, select Change Windows Firewall Settings.

  • Go to Start.
  • Then, click on Control Panel.
  • Here, select System.
  • Then, click on Automatic Updates.
  • Now, select the recommended setting.
The steps given above will allow you to give protection for the system from Gen:Trojan.Heur.Kq2@vnEgQdkix. They are used to turn on Automatic Updates in Windows XP.
