How to get rid of VBS.Trojan.Carewmr.A virus

I don't know why the hell i am getting frequent popup alerts that my system is infected by the VBS.Trojan.Carewmr.A . From last night after i installed a tiny application on my system. This trouble really a lot since it appears every now and then when i am busy doing my work can you tell me a way to get rid of this threat. I would really appreciate your initiative.
