| How to manage a network traffic
I have a Ethernet lan connection which is connected to 6 pc running on windows. Now this is the usual windows network where all users shares file. I need some details of more different types of network setups. Like token high setup or arcnet. What happens in this types of networking setup. Which is the most effective among this and how to manage this network traffic. |

The network interface cards allocate an ordinary cable. This cable arrangement does not necessitate forming a structure, but be required to be effectively common to all cards on the network. Before a card broadcast, it listens for a fracture in traffic. The cards have accident detection, and if the card distinguishes a collision while trying to broadcast, it will retry after some random time interval. |

Token ring networks can form an absolute electrical loop, or ring. Approximately the ring is the computers, called stations. ARCnet networks allocate or delegate a master card. The master card maintains a table of active cards, polling everyone consecutively one after the other with broadcast authorization. Every machine in the network exposed below, has one or additional network cards. The measurement of the network that does the job of transporting and administrating the data across the network is called TCP/IP which stands for Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and Internet Protocol (IP). |

There are additional complementary mechanisms for administrating network traffic, but most, for illustration IPX/SPX for Netware, will not be explained here in much detail. The IP layer necessitates a 4 (IPv4) or 6 (IPv6) byte address to be allocated to every network interface card on every computer. The TCP layer necessitates or requires a port number to be allocated to every message. This way it can conclude the type of service being presented. If you are talking regarding the "ports" you are not talking regarding ports that are used for sequential and parallel devices, or ports which is being used for the computer hardware control. These ports are simply indicates the numbers used to describe a service. For illustration the port 23 is used for telnet services, and HTTP which is using the port 80 for presenting web browsing service. |
