| Using different types of Routers and Switches on lan
Does it is necessary to define type of switch and router for a lan network. I am trying to setup internet connection on my lan network. For that I had old router which was plugged to the network hub. I am not getting the speed and the internet is cracking in the between. So that creates the doubts on hardware. what should I do here. |

You can have a look to the switch as it is prospective to and fundamentally can modify the route of the nodes, which is used to communicate with each other. But you might be wondering what makes it dissimilar from a router. Switches frequently work at Layer 2 which may be data or data link, of the OSI situation Model, the router will be running in the layer 3 if you are using the MAC addresses. |

The One of these dissimilarity in the algorithms connecting switches and routers is how the transmits are handled. it can be on any network, the conception of a transmit packet is fundamental to the operability of a network. When ever any device want to or require to send out the information in sequence and if it is not knowing how to do,then it sends out a broadcast. |

For illustration if you are connecting a computer or any device to the network, to make you the presents of it, it sends you a broadcast packet with a declaration. Then the other nodes which might be your domine server in which you can add your computer with your browser list. It may be address directory or many more and with this you can connect your computer and communicate with it from any point. |

A hub or a switch will get a head of along with any transmit packets they can be obtain to all the other section in the broadcast domain, but a router will not. You have to assume about our four-way connection again: each of the traffic conceded through the connection you do not have to think where it is going as it will not create any problem. Now you have to think that this connection is at an international border. To pass through the connection, you must present the border guard with the definite address that you are going to. If you do not give a definite target, then the guard will not allow you pass.

If you do not know how the router work, you can see that how it works. If you had not given the definite address to any of the device, it will not allow you data to packet through. If you are keeping the network divided with each other then it will be better. If you want to communicate with the dissimilar parts of the similar network then it will not be the best one.In this part the switch enter in.
