You can not. Find a way to reset your "box" or your router with the original settings, I'm afraid this is the only way.

You should specify your model of your router, it may be possible to retrieve the key through an ethernet connection

Re: How to recover lost WPA network key?

Are you using the windows xp? then you can try out the following utility:

WirelessKeyView : WirelessKeyView recovers all wireless network security keys/passwords (WEP/WPA) stored in your computer by the 'Wireless Zero Configuration' service of Windows XP and by the 'WLAN AutoConfig' service of Windows Vista. It allows you to easily save all keys to text/html/xml file, or copy a single key to the clipboard.

Re: How to recover lost WPA network key?

Do as follows:
  1. Start->run->cmd , run IPCONFIG
  2. Note the default gateway IP address.
  3. Now open internet explorer and type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar
  4. It will prompt for username and password, leave the user name blank and type password as admin.
  5. In the router setup page click on wireless settings, Then click on wireless security.
  6. Under that you will find the appropriate key. Note it down and use it when connecting the signals.
