I suggest you be cautious while clicking on the suspicious links that are provided on the websites if Generic FakeAlert!cd is been detected in your system. The attackers generally infect such links with the infections because many unsuspecting users fall prey to such an attack. This is a very famous method that is being used by the attackers to infect the system of the users with the new infections.

I recommend you to enable the firewall in the computer if Generic FakeAlert!cd has been detected in the system. The firewalls become the entry point for all the information that are coming for the network into the computer. But for this purpose, you will have to enable the firewall in the computer. So, when a malicious content enters into the system, they will be simply eradicated from the system.

My advice to you is to be careful while accepting file transfers from the unknown users with whom the chatting is done while connected on the internet. Many a times, the attackers chat for sometime and some file is send from them. They will describe that this is a very good and useful file. But, it is seen that it generally contains infections. So, it is your responsibility to avoid such attacks, since this may be why Generic FakeAlert!cd is being detected in the system.
