Unable to install McAfee virus scan 2008 in windows 7

I have recently upgraded my acer aspire laptop to windows 7 from windows XP. I was using the mcAfee virusscan 2008 with windows XP. i like this antivirus very much so i want to use with the windows 7 too but when i tried to install it if found that i am unable to install mcAfee virusscan 2008 mcAfee virusscan 2008 Need help.

Apparently your system has been infected by a virus prior to the installation of the mcafee anti virus and hence you are not able to install the antivirus on your system. You have not mentioned whether you cleanly installed windows 7 or you have upgraded your system from one of its previous version. So it will be better to help you.

I am also facing the similar issue with my operating system but i am unable to install the quickheal antivirus on windows 7 i tried a lot of stuffs but finally all resulted in nothing so i am requesting you to help me so that i can install the desired anti virus on my windows 7 system. help me as soon as possible.

Most probably this error appears when you have a different antivirus program installed on your system. So firstly check for another antivirus installed on your system if there exists an operating system then please remove it so that you will be able you install the desired antivirus on your windows 7 operating system.

As far as i know the mcafee virus scan 2008 is not supported in windows 7. and hence i would suggest you to install another antivirus such as AVG or Kapersky as they are the only two I am aware of at this time that are compatible with windows 7. Or else you can try to install the laest version of the mcafee antivirus.
