Help to get rid of Mal/Behav-204

I am using Windows XP Service Pack 3 and my browser is Internet Explorer 8. The McAfee antivirus that I have installed in my system has alerted me about the infection of Mal/Behav-204 in my system. The problem is that it has not helped me to delete the same from my computer. So basically, I need some help to get rid of Mal/Behav-204. Please provide all possible solutions available.

Re: Help to get rid of Mal/Behav-204

McAfee has not been successful to remove infections like Mal/Behav-204. So, I suggest you to use AVG antivirus, since it can help to get rid of Mal/Behav-204 and such other infections. Many experts have recommended that this antivirus has helped to remove infections like virus, worms as well as trojans. So, after you have installed the antivirus, run a full system scan and remove all the unhealed infections that are detected during the scan.

Re: Help to get rid of Mal/Behav-204

Hello there, since Mal/Behav-204 is a trojan horse, I dont think that its manual deletion is simple. This is because they seem to be legible programs of the system from outside. They only work internally as a malicious content. So, I suggest you to format the system and install a new copy of Windows to get rid of Mal/Behav-204. This will hopefully solve the problem.

Re: Help to get rid of Mal/Behav-204

An anti-spyware like Spyware Doctor will help to get rid of Mal/Behav-204. They can stay in the background of the system and check for the applications and programs that are causing such problems in the system. When they find these malicious contents, they are simply eradicated from the system. I am using the same technique to keep it safe from such kinds of infections.

Re: Help to get rid of Mal/Behav-204

I suggest you to scan the system in safe mode with a well updated antivirus. I can assure you that this technique will help to get rid of Mal/Behav-204. This is because the infections are not able to execute in the safe mode and as a result remain inactive. You will get the option of getting into this safe mode when you start the system. This method has helped me to remove many malicious contents from my system.
