How to connect to WiFi Hotspots

I am having a Laptop with Mac OS X and am about to move out of the city. So, to be connected i am planning to use the WiFi but i don't know how to do that. It also requires some ID and password, etc.. Could you guys please help me out and make me know how can i get connected to the WiFi Hotspots ? Please let me know soon. If the Freebox does not sync or show slow chase than make sure each outlet which is connected to an analog device is equipped with a DSL filter. Also verify that no extension is incorporated into the facility and replace the elements of connectivity. Test your another Freebox ADSL functional to check if the viewer moves beyond the slow chase.
