    Limitations of a wireless network

I had got a project to make on the wireless network. I am not so good in that field I want to know some information on it. Is there any limitations of a wireless network. If their what is the limitation of it. What are the frequency in it. What are the speed limitation of wifi and the additional information on the topic if any.

You want some information on the limitations of a wireless network. Unlike a wired network, whose features are simple to forecast, the physical environment approximately them conspicuously and have an effect on wireless networks. As the signal travels away from the aerial on a wireless device, the power is detached so that after a certain distance there is too little power to be detected by the receiving device. Outdoors, in a space where there are no trees, buildings or other large objects, the signal will deteriorate evenly in all directions above ground.

The merely issue that can decrease the distance is the weather; during rain or fog the greatest distance at which the network functions may be concentrated, as the moisture in the air absorbs the exuded energy. A heavy rainstorm may be enough to temporarily it can disable the network in some situations. Indoors there are a large number of obstructions such as furniture, walls, floors and ceilings.

Re: Limitations of a wireless network

The wireless signal is engaged by some materials and reflected by others. This often gives dead spots in the area covered by the access point where no wireless response is potential. Sometimes there are freak areas where response is potential beyond the normal range of the access point. Some wireless devices are also exaggerated by interference from other high frequency devices like microwave cookers, which may give rise to errors or a complete loss of the network for a period of time.

Re: Limitations of a wireless network

Regrettably, wireless networking is not an exact science and the positioning of wireless devices may necessitate some fine-tuning to get them working dependably. There is a essential trade-off between the speed of the wireless network and the distance that the signal travels – the higher the speed the less distance the signal will travel. The table below shows a assessment of the speeds and distances. The speeds indicated are representative of those available in wireless networks. By default, wireless devices are set to run at their highest available speed.

The speed limitation of wifi. The wifi of 54mbps can limit up to 50m that means 165ft to 20m that means 65feet. And you cross the limit then you stay of a network. Like the same 18mbps can limit up to 150m that means 490ft to 60m that means 195feet. The same is likely for the 11mbps and for the 1mbps. And if you cross the limit then you stay of a network. This are the some of the information on the limitations of a wireless network.
