Inorder to prevent Backdoor:Win32/Small.D from entering the computer, I suggest you to keep the database of the antivirus always updated, so that whenever the infections try to gain entry into the system, it can alert about the same and the infections can thus, be removed successfully from the system. For this reason, it is necessary that the signatures of the new infections should be added into the database of the antivirus.

Do not accept file transfers from unknown users

To prevent Backdoor:Win32/Small.D from entering the computer, I advice you to that do not accept file transfers from unknown users. The attackers pose as a friend and after chatting for a while will some file, which they will describe to contain some very good stuff. But, it contains infections and it is your responsibility to be alert and decline such invitations.
