If the pc does not recognize anti-virus software package installed, you will see a dialog box that explains it. There is a button on the dialog that opens a web page where you can download Kaspersky antivirus software. Download the free version of Kaspersky antivirus and install it on their personal computers.

You can check if it was caused by an update of Windows going back to a previous restore point. To do this, go to Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools / System Restore. Select to return your computer to a previous restore point and click Next. In the calendar, select a date before this problem started. Follow the instructions. If this fixes the problem, then you can see what was installed since then.

Try the following steps, so that Windows 7 recognizes your antivirus :

    1. Go to Control Panel - User Accounts issue - User Account Contro" otherwise you can not rename the folder as an admin in system32)
    2. When you restart button F8 press to start windows 7 in safe mode (otherwise you can not rename the folder as an admin in system32)
    3. Control Panel (classic view) -> Administration -> Services "
    4. The service "Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI), end (eg right click -> Properties)
    5. The folder "C:\WINDOWS\system32\wbem\Repository" in "Repository2" or rename something else
    6. "Control Panel - User Accounts - User Account Control"
    7. Check whether the "Windows Management Instrumentation" (what a name ...), to the "IP Helper" and the service "Security Center" to run
    8. The Security Center check if everything is all green.

    Hello Avit,

It is always best to check with the software manufacturer FIRST. They will tell you if they have tested the product and the version, as well as whether or not it will work with Windows 7.
Check out the Windows 7 Compatibility site: (There you will find out about hardware and software compatibility.)
    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/com...s/default.aspx
There is a pulldown from which you can choose "hardware" and "software".

There are also some great articles, instructional videos and such to help with your Windows 7 at our Springboard site:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/default.aspx

In any event a lot of the times, Vista drivers will work in lieu of Windows 7 drivers, however, it's not 100%!

As stated previously, it's best to have the Windows 7 certified drivers installed.

Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located here http://social.technet.microsoft.com/...egory/w7itpro/ . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to check the threads available there for additional assistance and support.

    Thanks again,
