How to delete Artemis!54EE807E716F from the system

I am using Windows Vista Home Premium and my browser is Opera 10. The AVG antivirus that I am using in my system has alerted me about the infection of Artemis!54EE807E716F in the computer. I need to know how to delete Artemis!54EE807E716F from the system? The AVG antivirus is not able to delete it. I thought that it is a very good antivirus, that protected against all types of infections. Please suggest me suitable suggestions to this problem.

Update the database of the antivirus

To delete Artemis!54EE807E716F from the system, I suggest you to update the database of the antivirus. AVG is indeed a very good antivirus, but it is of no use if it is not constantly updated. The new infections that are released by the attackers need to be added into the database of the antivirus. Then only the infections can be detected and then deleted. After updating the antivirus, just run a full system scan and remove all the unhealed that are detected during the scan.

    Manual deletion of the infection

Hello there, inorder to delete Artemis!54EE807E716F from the system, you need to do the manual deletion of the infection. Artemis!54EE807E716F installs with the name "bot.exe". So, you just need to search for this particular file and then, go to the original path where this file is located on the disk. There, simply remove the original file and your problem will be hopefully solved.

    Artemis!54EE807E716F is a trojan

Artemis!54EE807E716F is a trojan and it is not that easy to get rid of this infection. This is because trojans seem to be genuine programs from outside, but internally they are a code that work to destroy the system. To delete Artemis!54EE807E716F from the system, it is suggested to format the system and then, install a new copy of operating system with a well updated antivirus. I guess that this is the only solution to your problem.

    Use an anti-spyware

I do not think that formatting is a recommended method for the removal of infections, since there is a possibility of loosing data as well as applications. I advice you to use an anti-spyware to delete Artemis!54EE807E716F from the system. Spyware Doctor is a recommended anti-spyware. These security components are different from the normal antivirus, since they stay in the background and look for the malicious activities that are going on within the system.

Boot scan the system with Quick Heal antivirus

Boot scan the system with Quick Heal antivirus to delete Artemis!54EE807E716F from the system. Here is how you can go about it:
    1. Remove any previous antivirus installed in your system to avoid conflicts in the system.
    2. After that, install Quick Heal antivirus.
    3. After installing, restart the system.
    4. Boot scan will now start automatically.

This is an assured method that can remove all types of infections from the system. This is so because the scan starts before the operating system loads, hence the infections cannot execute and as a result they remain inactive.
