| Java/Selace.K trojan causing unknown downloads to occur
I have no idea how this Java/Selace.K trojan made its way to my HP Pavilion P6100 desktop. I had installed the AVG anti virus which I got with the HP Pavilion desktop, but still the trojan has loaded it self on my desktop. It causes unknown file format download messages while I am browsing the internet. What can be the solution for this ? |

| Install Avast anti virus
From your description it seems that the AVG anti virus is also not able to delete the trojan completely. It can be that the trojan has attacked the anti virus and hence it is not able to delete it out of your computer. I will suggest you download Avast anti virus and install it on your computer to secure your computer from such malicious programs. |

| Trojan: Java/Selace.M
My Dell Vostro 1520 laptop is also infected by a similar Trojan: Java/Selace.M. I had been gifted this laptop last week and when I installed the Symantec anti virus it detected a threat as Trojan: Java/Selace.M. Even after deleting it, it would reappear when I reboot my Dell laptop. How can I remove this Trojan from my Dell laptop? |

| Scan in Safe Mode
I would recommend to scan your computer in Safe Mode. Restart your computer and keep pressing the F8 key when the initial black screen appears. This will a display a screen to select the booting options for your computer. Using the Arrow keys on your computer highlight on Safe Mode and press the Enter Key. Once the computer boots in Safe Mode scan your computer to locate and terminate the Trojan. |

| Reinstall Windows
I had the Java/Selace.K Trojan on my desktop which was not getting deleted with any anti virus. I had used Kaspersky, Symantec, Norton, McAfee and Avira but nothing helped. I finally had a backup pf my needed data and the re-installed Windows operating system to completely discard the Trojan from my desktop. This helped me. |
