My system is infected with Packed.Generic.277 trojan

Hi everybody, I am using a system that come with windows 2000 server operating system. I do not know what really happen. Last night I was installing a few programs in the pc and later on I found that my system is infected with virus. It is Packed.Generic.277 virus. I can get a popup by here MSE is not able to remove it. I tried scanning again and again a number of time but it is not at all working.

Remove Packed.Generic.277 by using Quick Heal anti virus. Down load the Quick Heal with its official web site. Follow the below step.
Save Quick Heal anti virus in your hard drive of your Machine.
Now double click on the saved file of Quick Heal anti virus.
Now during installation it displays for custom or default option.
Now click on the default option.
Now follow the prompt of the displayed by the Quick Heal anti virus.
After complete installation restart your system.
Check whether this virus is persist.

Hi, I am also having Packed.Generic.277 issue. I did all the steps what ever you described on your reply. So I had download and install an Quick heal anti virus software did machine and scan my machine. And also scan my system with Quick heal in safe mode. And I have seen there is still some virus are remaining in my system. Can you tell me the other way to remove the entire virus.

Remove Packed.Generic.277 trojan manually.

First check virus infected file and folders with the help of searching tool.
Now select all the virus infected file and folder .
Then remove all the selected file by press Shift+Delete button on the key board.
And then press OK for the delete.
After removing all files then Restart your computer.
Now find those virus infected file in your system.

If nothing works then you have to simply re-install Windows back again to fix it.
