| Enable Remote desktop on two PC
Hi, I have connected two computers with each other. The LAN for both are working fine. I can move files and transfer data among them. Now here I want to enable the Remote desktop connection between them. Both of the system are connected to a router. I had established a successful connection via a router between both the computers. Both them run on Windows. So what is the way to create a remote desktop connection between this two windows pc connected via a router. Thanks in advance. |

Remote Desktop allows you to control the PC on your network and then you can configure as you want. This will allow you to take control of a PC on your network (the principle is almost the same for a remote user that you wish to troubleshoot. For that you will first check out all the settings of your router. It is possible that if you try to establish the connection with improper settings then you network will disappear. |

To start with this you have to first enter the router configuration connecting the PC to which you want to access remotely. To do this, as the manufacturer of the router, open your Internet browser and enter in the address bar 192.168.0.1 (or, more generally, the IP address of your router configuration to be indicated in the manual) and you should see a web page setup with the brand of your router. |

I have a Dlink Router. I will show you details of my settings which I had configured to create a Remote Desktop connection. Open the router configuration page and in the Username section if you have not already changed the password admin and press enter and go into the port forwarding section. In Section Name Windows XP, you can see the computer name. The same can be found on my right clicking on My Computer > Properties. Do the proper settings here and then reboot your computer. |

If you are using Windows Vista then first note down your computer name. Then click on the Start menu > Run and type cmd and then press the Enter key. Then type ipconfig and press Enter. Write down the number of the corresponding IP address. It will look something like 192.168.0.200. Now this ip address will lie in the port forwarding section (section IP address). Save the configuration changes to your router and then close your web browser. |

Two things are needed here to establish a Remote Desktop connection between the two computers. First your proper router configuration and the second one is configuring windows. You must have the IP address of your router. Then open control panel and click on system. Check the box Allow sending invitations remotely from this computer and Allow users to connect remotely to this computer. Create Account on any hosting service. Then add your host service and choose a name. After that Click Add and select a group name. Login and access the Remote desktop |
