Re: some web application firewall to protect against hacker attacks

Web application firewalls are designed specifically to protect Web-based applications, as opposed to traditional firewalls, which monitor and block packets based on Internet address and port number. Technically, the fact that these Web applications are vulnerable is not a new phenomenon. While a typical network firewall can help restrict traffic to HTTP and HTTPS, this traffic can contain command exploits leveraging vulnerabilities in the Web application itself.

Does anyone know the difference of those WAF vendors?
If you are familiar with one of those WAF, please share with us.

Web Application Firewalls (WAFs) are among the tools that are commonly used for the prevention of Web attacks. However, the WAFs provide very little protection on their own. In order to become useful, they must be configured with rules. According to me all WAF has the same function. There is no major difference in the functioning of the WAF, since the rule configuration process is almost same.

I will recommend you the Fortknox Firewall solution if you want to protect your web applications against the hacker attacks. It also helps you to protect you from spywares, trojans and other internet threats. So you don't have to be afraid of hackers who steal or hack your personal data. Also the Fortknox Personal Firewall is freely available on its official website.
