To solve the problems as mentioned above, follow the instructions below for the version of your VPN client.
Note: The following reconfiguration will not function properly without access to the VPN configuration file.
VPN Reconfiguration Utility (referring to the 5.0 and 4.0.3 customers.)
    1. Close the VPN client.
    2. Click the configuration image below:
    3. Click Save in the File Download window and save the file on the desktop.
    4. After the download completes, click Run in the Download Complete window or launch the file from your desktop.
    5. Click Run in the editor window, and detect the VPN client version you have installed.
    6. After detecting the version of your VPN installed, click Repair.
    7. Restart the VPN client after complete repair and try to connect to the VPN.

Typically, these error messages appear in one of the following situations.
    1. Unplug the power cord.
    2. Disable modem.
    3. Modem drivers are corrupted.
    4. Your computer is infected with spyware, which prevents the connection.
    5. Should restore interface Winsock.
    6. Connection firewall software is blocking third-party.

If this issue on win7: go to one of your co worker laptop and C drive, program file, cisco system, vpn client, profiles, Pcf File............now you need to copy that to your jump drive, go into to your computer and go through as above, then delete your Pcf File then paste the pcf file from jump drive over. restart the computer.

Re: VPN Error 5 : No hostname exists for this connection entry. Unable to make VPN connection

I have found some information about this error that can occur in the case of Cisco VPN client crashing or the system restating unexpectedly when the client is connected to the local host. So to solve this issue, one needs to keep backup of the copies of the .pcf files ot update the pcf file if it is broken with similar information from another pcf file. If that doesnt work then one could also deploy a script file written in VBS or scripting language of any choice of the user and run this at the startup on the machine, that will compare the file size of the this current pcf file, and it will also replace it with a known good file, if it is not the correct file.
