Telnet ssh port response

Hello,
I configured my server telnet (ssh) on port 80 because my client terminal can open outbound connections on port 80. It has a connection to the server but I can not see the server response. Could you tell me about it the telnet server port responds to customers who connect to it? Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Services telnet and ssh do not share the same port, or even the same behavior. Telnet is not secure and runs on port 23. Ssh is secure and runs on port 22. I do not be confused with issue. If you need any more information regarding this topic please do post back. Hope this will help you.

Ok, so this is a ssh service where I configured the listener on port 80 instead of 23. But I do not know what port the ssh service meets a client? Any advice or suggestion will definately help me. Another question was I am on the right way of going? Please help.

How did you set? What configuration files? What services have you started?

Port 23. But avoid using telnet because as the specified N_BaH not a secure protocol. All flows pass in clear text over the network. Try it and if any problem post back so that we can help you. Best of luck.

Actually I did the NAT, I redirect port 80 to port 22 of the SSH service.

Code:
How did you connect? what are the customers that you used?
The client is 'PuTTY for Symbian OS'. In fact I get to join the server and opens a connection when I connect directly with my wireless phone. I connect on port 80. But when I go through my WAP access point I can not listen to a connection.

Re: Telnet ssh port response

Hello guys,
If some have any solution for the about do post back soon so that I can get started to work. I had another question in my mind, can I connect via my WAP access point? I am fairly new to these concepts, so any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
