ASROCK X58 Extreme LAN issues

Just few days back i had built a new PC using an ASROCK X58 Extreme. I had also used the onboard LAN for building up my new pc. On my system i had installed Windows Xp as my operating system. Now the problem is that when i do a diagnose ad repair i get: This computer does not have a network adapter installed and configured. Can any one tell me that why i'm facing ASROCK X58 Extreme LAN issues? Does any body knows about it? Kindly help me out to resolve the above issue. Thanks in advance.

Are the Ethernet ports still enabled in the BIOS? Or you can use a spare pc and download and burn a cd with the drivers ahead of time. My asrock x58 extreme died on me after 4 days of use. I had it working with an xfx 5850, and it was awesome till the board died.

Re: ASROCK X58 Extreme LAN issues

Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. Try the old ps with your 5850 on the newer board if you haven't already. Could be your ps isn't compatible with the video card, not the board. This will help if you installed a wrong driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.

Re: ASROCK X58 Extreme LAN issues

UNPLUG THE CORD FROM THE POWER SUPPLY FOR 10-20 SECONDS, reinsert cable and boot up. Should work fine now. If you have problems downloading Asrock X58 Extreme Dual LAN Teaming Driver 1.0.0.6 for XP, please try to stop using your download manager and avoid right clicking on files. Also, check your firewall settings, because some mirrors may require that you do not block the HTTP refers.

Re: ASROCK X58 Extreme LAN issues

You can download Asrock X58 Extreme Bios 1.60 for your hardware. I've installed the v1.6 update and while the network card does work, it still has issues losing connections. I can't get a download of software and my VPN connections get disconnected fairly frequently. It is not recommended to download drivers from illegal sites which distribute a keygens, key generators, pirate keys, serial numbers, warez full versions or cracks for Asrock X58 Extreme Bios 1.60.

Re: ASROCK X58 Extreme LAN issues

Some of the ASROCK X58 Extreme boards have issues with the LAN not triggering. I would also try a low end pci-e card which doesn't need any ps connections on your board before sending the board in for warranty. Try to download periodically updates information of Asrock X58 Extreme Bios 1.60 full driver from the manufacturer, but some information may be slightly out-of-date.
