As your system loses internet connection while gaining back from sleep mode in windows 7 is not basically the problem with the operating system. Would recommend you to follow these steps:

    1) Go to the start menu and then navigate through control panel.
    2) Click on hardware and sound option.
    3) Click on power option now.
    4) Now select the option Change when computer sleeps.
    5) Select the power saver.
    6) Now select the change plan settings.
    7) Now click on put computer on sleep.
    8) Then click on never.

An alternative way to solve out the query is by sorting out the hardware management list drives troubleshoot. All you need to do is to click on start menu and then go to run command. Type devmgmt.msc in the text field and hit enter. Now you would get a list of options in an open window. Expand the network adapter option by clicking on the + sign. Double click on the wireless adapter and then choose power management tab and make sure that the check box is clear allow computer to turn off the specified device.

The issue mainly corresponds to the gateway router that may be affecting the connection as it may not be supportive under windows 7 operating system. The operating system been very bulky and sophisticated it requires devices and software application that should be able to cope up with it. This is because been advanced it takes a lot of load on the system and hence it should then process out to its compatibility.

Trouble shooting the router and the system should fix this problem. This is basically because there might be certain bugs associated with the operating system or to the configuration of the router that has been assigned. You can reconfigure the settings by entering the parameters again in order to make things to work correctly. This may fix up your issues and relevantly work for you.
