I think its your NetGear Wireless Router which is giving mdm.exe error. Try to ping the wired device. This should work if the wired device works correctly. Also try to run the VPN Diagnostic Tools, so that you can find the IP address. If that is not working then try the following steps : 1. First connect only the Modem to the PC, same as LAN 2. After then insert securely the yellow cable that came with your router into the yellow Internet port of the router. 3. Insert the other end into the modem. After doing this try to Install the wireless now. Hope this will help you.

Try to do the following settings to install the Router : First to access the router using its login name and password, Connect to the router by typing http://www.routerlogin.net in the URL of your browser, and click Enter. Initially type "admin" as the router user name and "password" for router password. Since this is case sensitive, type in small letters. After entering the user name and password, the router will display its home page. Then click on log out. Now follow the instructions to test the wireless connectivity. 1. Log in to the router at its default LAN address of http://www.routerlogin.net 2. Then click on Wireless Settings option in the main menu of the router. 3. Also check whether the default SSID is NETGEAR. 4. Now set your region accordingly. 5. Click on apply to save the changes. 6. Test your computers for the wireless connectivity. Maybe this will work for you. |

I will try to sort this problem in short. Basically Mdm.exe is the Machine Debug Manager, which is used by the Microsoft Developer Studio to provide application debugging. This Machine Debug Manager runs as a service and is loaded when your computer starts. You can turn it off if you are not using your computer for debugging. It's not a virus, its simply a script debugger for the .NET ... If you want to disable you can do it by disabling the service. For doing this go to Run command and type msconfig. It will show the service tab over there. Just unclick that option. Check whether you can install it now.
