Hi,

What are the various available types of the protocols? I have read that protocols is the rules and regulation for the communication.
I don't have any idea about different types of the protocols.

Is anybody know about the various types of the protocols? Please help me, I am waiting for your reply...

*.CAN Bus:It is a ALSTOM products

*. BT : Stands for Brain Terminal for Yokogawa products

*.MODBUS: Stands for Modicon products

1. File Transfer Protocol(FTP):

As per name suggest file transfer protocol is used to transfer files within computers. This protocol is useful to to access remote computer as well as to upload or download the desired files from the remote computer.

2.File retrieval protocol:

As per name suggest this protocol is useful to retrieve the data information from the another connected computer (Connection through internet ).

3. Gopher:

This protocol is useful to offer downloading of the file . This protocol is used only when downloadable file is on the remote computer.
