How to get rid of with W32.Mydoom.A@mm.enc??

I am using the operating system Windows 98 and on recently scanning the system using Escan antivirus, it detected an infection, W32.Mydoom.A@ mm.enc. It was indicated as an encoded file of MIME that has W32.Mydoom.A@ mm.enc worm. The antivirus is not deleting the worm and I need anyone to suggest a good antivirus that can help me to remove this W32.Mydoom.A@ mm.enc worm and also let me know the location where actually the worm spreads and is located.

I suggest you to use Norton antivirus which is provided in the link below.
After that you need to follow the following steps:

• System restore has to be diabled before doing anything.
• Now, update the old virus definitions.
• After that enable a whole scan of the system.
• Now, you will get files detected as W32.Mydoom.A@ mm.enc.
• Lastly, you simply need to delete these files.

You cannot easily get rid of W32.Mydoom.A@ mm.enc virus. It is actually a worm and is not included in many of the antivirus definitions. So, the antivirus may not directly delete it. I dont know any antivirus that can remove this worm. But, as it is a worm, AVG must be able to remove it. Or else, I suggest you to format the system and install a new copy of windows 98.

I have knowledge of many WIN32 worms, but this one I am hearing for the first time. Worms do not have a particular location. They spread into the memory and use as much of space it can from the system. In this way a worm makes a system slow by using all the available resources. All types of worm can be eradicated by using boot scan and probably this one should also be removed using this method as boot scan does not allow any virus or worm to execute.
