error while downloading avira update

I have installed avira antivirus on my system, and i need to update that antivirus. But i am getting an error while downloading avira update file. It is a 125 MB file. Now while downloading, it gets downloaded till 70MB and after that i get an error message "Update has Failed". I tried to download this file many times, but every time, i use to get the same error message. So i need your suggestions for that. Can you tell me what should i do?

You cannot download or install any antivirus software or update files, if your windows firewall or any other firewall kept on.Try to disable your firewalls and then try to update. If then also you are getting the same issue, then re-install avira and download the update file again. See what you get. Or else go for other antivirus software.

First of all, check with your internet speed. If it is low, then it will take more time to download files, and when the site is overloaded then at that time you may get this kind of error.From which site you are downloading the updates. I have heard that avira site is always overloaded. If you want then you can download the updates from here

Even i was facing the same problem while downloading the update file. So i simply uninstalled it, and downloaded and installed the latest version and downloaded the update file also. So i suggest you to re-install the software after uninstalling and then download the update file. If then also you are not able to download it, then there must be an issue with your internet speed. Check it out.
