How to remove virus that attacked my MSN??

I suppose some kind of virus has attacked my MSN account. It sends image files, like img-002.zip and I do not know about it. I tried to delete it by running msconfig, but the MSN window comes with no attachment. But, it has texts like "this is me" and all. Please tell me how to get rid of this MSN virus??

Hey it is actually a worm that uses MSN to spread and exploits any browser. Ist duplicates itself by sending messages to different MSN IDs. But, it does no harm to the system. In order to get rid of this virus, you simply need to uninstall the MSN application, delete that file, then go to Recycle Bin and Empty it once again. Now reinstall the MSN and there will be do problem as before.

Many of my friends have been infected by the same kind of virus through a link and they clicked on it and it came out to be a backdoor virus. Now, in such cases someone else has control over their computers. In many cases, the contacts in the messenger list has disappeared and it is not possible to exit the MSN application. This virus also removes all the data in the system. It is recommended that you format your system as soon as possible if you really want to get rid of it as someone else may be controlling your computer.

You simply need to turn off system restore and this will remove each and every last restore points and thereby, remove the virus. For this, you need to follow these steps:
    1. Select start and right click on the my computer icon and next go to properties.
    2. Now, select the tab for system restore.
    3. Here, check the box with turn off system restore and then, click apply.
    4. Now select yes. Doing this will remove all the old restore points.
    5. Restart your computer and boot scan your whole computer.
    6. This will eradicate the MSN virus from your computer.
