I need information on setup of Linksys SPA3102 for Asterisk software. I am using Asterisk 1.4.2. I have registered with the asterisk server But not able to configure the linksys. Any recommendations and suggestions are appreciated.

You must have admin-level access to the web interface of the SPA to configure SPA.Asterisk is software that turns an ordinary computer into a voice communications server. Your Asterisk server and SPA3000 or SPA3102 should not be separated by a NAT device (i.e. they can be behind the same router/firewall).

Typically, if you connect the spa-3000 to regular landline, the line voltage reading will show ~48v. The FXS port (where you plug in your phone) is set up in the normal manner, just as on the Linksys PAP2 or a Sipura unit.

Do you have Auth ID set? And does the Linksys SPA3102 report Line 1 as "Online" ? You need to go to its built in web browser, and access it from static IP address.
