Is Shield Deluxe a Rogue Security software

Hi,
I recently installed Shield Deluxe in my system. The application gives out threat pop ups continuously. I scanned the entire system and revert back on my work. Then again the pop ups appear. I tried to remove the application but no success yet. What are the removal instructions for this application. The software has made my system extremely slow. Is this a rogue antivirus. If yes then post some suggestion for the removal of same. Thanks.

First end the process from Task Manager. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del from the keyboard and then in the Task Manager go to Process tab. From the list there select the application and click on End Process. The try to uninstall the same. You can do that from Control Panel > Add Remove program. If still any error appears then restart the system in safe mode by pressing F8 on boot up. Once the system enters safe mode then try to uninstall the same application.

The application not actually a rogue antivirus. But it not powerful enough to clear different type of infections from the system. First run the program and go to setting. Disable Automatic startup option. Then restart your computer. Go to Control Panel and click on Add Remove program. See the application in the list and click on Uninstall. Restart your system back and get a good antispyware tool. Scan your system.

It is not a Rogue Antivirus. But there are many complains regarding this. I am not still not sure here. Better uninstall it properly. Till the antivirus is activated in the background you will not be able to remove it completely. You can try System Restore option. Click on Start > Program > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore. In the windows click on restore and next. In the calender select a old date before the installation of application. Give next.
