How to remove clipx.exe from Windows

Hi,
I process manager I found clipx.exe process running. The service is consuming a bit of memory. I am not sure that I had installed any application related to this name. There are more users which used this computer. So I need some information on the same. If it is a threat then how to get rid of it. And if it is a application then for what it is used for. Thanks.

ClipX is a small clipboard history manager tool. It is lite and free for use. The application is used for keeping a track of currently used software. Just right click on the Desktop and you can see a menu in which there is a list of all recently opened program. The application is created under Linux. It is not a threat. But I will recommend you to run a full system scan. Because some virus similar to the name lies in disguise.

Clipx.exe is a type of malware application. There are some application also which have similar name. Check your start menu and see that if you have any relevant application. If not then end process and search for the file name. If found then delete the same at once. The application usually lies in the Windows directory. Deleting the same will remove the threat from your system.

The files stays in the Windows directory of C drive. The name of file is clipx.ini. Delete the file from here. Do not forget to clean your Recycle bin and Temp folder. The files is executed automatically. the differrent name of the same virus is 76497728.EXE, 39996225.EXE, 21963947.DAT, 95234664.EXE and
42496295.EXE. Remove all this type of files from the system directory.
