    Windows 7 driver for D-Link DGE-530T

    Hi,
Upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7 recently. But my network has stopped working here. There is not icon available on the task bar which show the LAN status. Also when I restart my computer every time windows prompt me to install new hardware. I give next to install the same but nothing works here. I think it is the Ethernet card which is creating issue here. My system configuration is Windows 7, 2Gigs of RAM, Intel C2D processor, LD DVD RW, DGE-530T 10/100/1000 Gigabit Desktop PCI Adapter by D-Link.

Microsoft has a drive database which is available for Windows Update to download. Run your Windows update. This update includes drivers and product updates provided by the hardware and software manufacturers. You can also look on the official site for the drivers. Most probably if you have the disc came with adapter then Windows Vista drivers can be used in Windows 7.

Open device manager and right click on the Ethernet adapter. You can see a yellow exclamation mark on it which shows that it is not installed properly. Right click on it and choose update drivers. Then connect to internet and follow the onscreen instructions. Windows will search for the appropriate drivers for the adapter. In this way you can install and later on take a backup of the same.

Go to the below link and download the driver. This driver listed below in compatible with Win2K, WinXP, Win2003, Vista 32, Vista 64, Linux, Mac OS, etc. There is no special driver designed for Windows 7. So I hope that driver which supports Windows Vista will work in Windows Vista also. If not then you does not have any option of using the adapter in Windows 7. Either create a dual boot system for the same.
