| Re: How to configure RIS
RIS delivers only clean installs of XP Professional, you cannot use this technology to upgrade clients such as Windows 98 to XP. A Pentium or Pentium II 200 megahertz (MHz) CPU is recommended. At a minimum, a Pentium 166 MHz CPU is required. Microsoft Windows 2000 / 2003 Servers' Remote Installation Services (RIS) is a well known tool that allows easy deployment of Windows 2000 Professional or Windows XP over a network. |
