Change ip address from 10.0.2.14 to 192.168.X.X

My computer connected in network with ip address 10.0.2.14, i am running windows xp on my computer. Can i change my ip address to 192.168.X.X? Both address are use as private ip address. Is that possible?

192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255 is private ip address range, IP address 192.168.2.1 makes use of routers to relay information to and from the Internet to the network node.

10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255
172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255
192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255

You can change your ip address to 192.168..X.X because it belongs t different ip address range. If you want use that ip address then you need to change you internal router ip also.
