Licensing and Exchange 2007

Well finally I am going to install Exchange for one of my first web site. I received an HP ProLiant server with Windows Server 2008 64 bit installed and I'm going to install Exchange 2007 on it.

My question is: Since this server is not domain controller, how do I install Exchange licenses? Will there be a place where I paste the number series?

I do not know of any Exchange. I'm still worried on number of licenses, I bought 50 account hoping not to exceed but what happens if when I exceed the migration? Exchange hangs? must enter a new key?

Re: Licensing and Exchange 2007

When licensing my Exchange 2003, I returned to "Licensing" from Administrative Tools. I think there is anything special when installing this level, you just specify the quantity.

Re: Licensing and Exchange 2007

About what are you talking, CAL or software license server?

For the license server, you open the EMC and you have an indication that you did not put the license and we propose to put a spanner. In all cases it works.

Otherwise Exchange 2010 is also released in the coming days

Re: Licensing and Exchange 2007

I spoke of CAL in fact, because I have not defined the exact no. of my users.
The license of soft exchange server is written on the box but I think it includes only 5 cal exchange.

My question was if exceeded cal, I know what happens.
