    What ports does SIP use

I would like to know that what ports does SIP use? I know that it mainly depends on the provider, but do any one have any idea about it? Kindly provide me the correct information on SIP ports. Any kind of information on SIP ports would be greatly appreciated.

SIP uses UDP port 5060 for signalling. Asterisk's default configuration uses UDP ports 10,000 through 20,000 for RTP. When a specific port is registered it is usually assigned for both TCP and UDP even though only one or the other may be required. The media is sent using RTP.

Your Asterisk can distinguish between 5060 of your 2100 and 5060 of your 841 because they have different IP addresses. You can configure network ports using the Speech Server Administrator console. The default SIP peer listening ports are 5060 for Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and 5061 for Transport Layer Security (TLS).

It allows you to avoid a port collision between the SIP Proxy server and the other Websphere processes in shared hardware configurations on shared hardware installs. I think suppliers and/or devices differ in their choice of port ranges to use for the voice streams, these are the high numbered ones AIUI.
