How to setup IP on Cisco Switch

    Hi,

I am trying to configure a Cisco 2950T switch. For some reason I can not connect to the switch using the address 10.0.0.1 in the browser. I've reset the switch to clear the current configuration file. I have two Cisco IP phone is used and the rest of Cisco IP Communicator on my network, data and voice in the same VLAN, but necessary to separate.

If you have any idea, please help!

To set an IP address on the Cisco 2950t switch :

Log onto the router using the console cable and type:

    Code:
    Switch(config)#int vlan 1
    Switch(config-if)#ip address 10.60.1.1 255.255.248.0
    Switch(config-if)#no shut
    Switch(config-if)#end

If you can get then enable the HTTP server configuration. Using IP switch to access the web-based configuration. It is much easier than the command line inputs. It is assumed that use a lot of resources from the backplane but you get a great deal of information which is difficult to watch. Do not forget any http server or at least change the server port to a port of a firewall.

You can use any terminal or terminal application also real than the last.
