Wireless LAN Driver and Utility for REALTEK RTL8185

I downloaded and installed the REALTEK RTL8185 Wireless LAN Driver and Utility and now I got some freezing issues with it. It can only be fixed by either disabling the enabling the device temporarily and not permanently. I have also tried to update the drivers but it wont work either, so any help would be appreciated. Thank you

First try to check the sytem event logs to see if there are any errors? Also is this a bulit in device that came in you motherboard or an external pci one? You can also try to go to Start > Run > msinfo32, then click on Hardware Recources once till it is selected then go to Click on File > Export > msinfo.txt and save this. Then paste the results in here for us.

You can also try to use intel driver for your realktek device and if you also have OmniPeek 4.1 or later, then Centrino 3945abg will be supported on XP as well. However this chipset is not supported in AiroPeek or on Vista.

If you can just check whether you can see if you search for new networks in wireless networks or not? Did you try to remove all wireless connection profiles and entered a new (and known correct) encryption key? Are you SURE your wireless adapter is switched on? It's usually a small switch on the side of the laptop or a function key sequence to toggle the adapter on and off.
