Avira and Windows Seven compatibility

Hi,

I want to install Avira antivirus in my PC, I have recently installed Windows 7 on my pc, i have searched on net for information about the Compatibility between The Avira antivirus and Windows 7 but coud not get proper answer , some say yes some says that Avira has not yet launched windows 7 compatible version. which Version of Avira antivirus is compatible with windows 7.

Avira has just published a new version for its antivirus Antivir Personnal Free, version 9. New in version 9 of the Avira forum and other information on the Avira support. This version 9 is works equally well under Windows Vista 7. Uninstall the version of Antivir 8 Free Personnal if it is installed on the system. To pay the Premium version, the update may be produced by the function Upgrade (Start update the product) After uninstalling, the system restarts.
