Hi,
When I try to update the firmware of my wrt610n to the latest version, it gets to 98% then stops. Any ideas? Is there any way to reset the firmware without the configuration screen? How to upgrade Linksys Firmware? Is there any other way ?

Before upgrading Linksys Firmware, delete the old firmware you have download and download it again on your desktop, hold the reset button on the back of the router for 30 sec and then unplug the power cable for 1 min. The router will be reset to default settings and before changing anything try installing the firmware.
Are you trying to download firmware from Linksys official web site. You are not going to get an "official" firmware update anywhere else, go to linksys. com-> support-> enter your wireless by model number (e.g. wrt610n) -> click on that downloads-> select version number for your wireless -> click on the download link under this section, which typically show the following information.
The linksys does not offer the standard checks for updating or upload firmware interface. They used a improvement rule that expect to find a tftp or web server. linksys also offers a windows feasible that will be the upload it without you to fiddle with something. If you only have a chance to set up your own web server or tftp, the establishment of a tftp server is much less intensively on resources, to download area disk CPU and memory to use.
Before the upgrading Linksys Firmware, backup your current Linksys Wireless Configuration. For doing this, go to Administration - Config Management - Backup - Config.bin, Save the file on your computer. Don't forget to reset it to factory defaults and reconfigure the router again.
