Acquired DS with status NO FEC lock, DS Freq 255000000, US Id 0

I have a D-Link DSL 502T modem. The power light and receive lights are on and always steady and the send light flashes. I've checked the signal usually stays at around 53 most of the time, but sometimes with go from 11 - 42 back to 10 to 53. Checking my logs from the past few days, I noticed "Acquired DS with status NO FEC lock, DS Freq 255000000, US Id 0" and I don't know what does that mean. Can anyone help me out why my internet connection goes down frequently?

What is your downstream level and upstream level on the modem? It should be 0 dbmv ideally. It should be much higher. If the power levels are fluctuating, then something is bad. If you can't find out the correct problem by yourself, then contact the modem manufacturer and see what they say.

Your logs are telling that your modem has acquired an active downstream channel but since the debug entries is too small that the more important entries are missing which might give you a reason why the modem reboots every time. A lot of the older modems have such issues. I think you should go for a new modem which will solve your problem.
