Westell modem/router set up with Zoomtown connection in bridge mode

I want to set up a wireless home network. I have a computer in my office and want to setup a computer for my brother in his bedroom. I have a Westell 6100 modem/router with service through Zoomtown. How do I set up Westell modem/router with Zoomtown connection in bridge mode?

Before setting your modem/router in bridge connection, are you sure your device supports bridge mode? Some of the devices like mine Windows ICS doesn't support this feature. In such situation you can configure your computer to do that function.

By that do you mean the modem which is configured as a router at the moment? Because modem doesn't support bridge connection. It is the router which supports this feature. To turn the modem/router into a bridge mode, either your ISP can guide you through that, because you will need the IP address, and possibly a password to access the modem/router, or, you should have a user's guide that will tell you how to do it.

Bridge connection setup is quiet simple and can be done using your Windows. You just need to select the two connections that you want to bridge on your Network Connections window. Now right click on one of them and select bridge connections. That's it. The bridge connection is fully functional now, provided connections does not have ICS enabled.
