Cannot connect wireless router to modem

Hi,
I have linksys wireless router connected to my small home network. Computer and the router can pick up the signal from each other. But i cannot connect my wireless router to modem. an someone help?

It can be IP configuration problem. First of all enable DHCP in the router. Try following:

• Click Start
• Then click Run
• Type cmd and press Enter
• Then type following one after another:

  netsh int ip reset reset.log
  netsh winsock reset catalog

• Restart your system

You may need to install updates for your wireless router firmware and driver. You may also need to setup username and password for the router. Set your router for "automatic DHCP".
