| Openwrt on the netgear wgt624
Hello friends, I have recently bought netgear wgt624 router and i want to use openwrt on it. From a long i am trying to understand it and i have also downloaded kamikaze version too which includes openwrt-atheros-2.6-root.jffs2-64k, openwrt-atheros-2.6-root.squashfs, openwrt-atheros-2.6-vmlinux.elf, openwrt-atheros-2.6-vmlinux.gz, openwrt-atheros-2.6-vmlinux.lzma and some other files too. Can anyone suggest me some proper procedure to use this router. |

In that case you need to have a bootloader and i guess three isn't only one available for board yet and the worst part is that you couldn't do anything with the board anyway because the it's has only 2mb flash which is very less in that case i would recommend you to have netgear wgt624v3 has 2M device with that you can open Openwrt. |

I was also facing such kind of issue i try to use some firmware at DDWRT which will can use for your router and you can be able to upload it. On the site there's a link to a ftp program which you can use to try uploading the new firmware. The issue is that you only have at most a few seconds while the router is trying to boot to connect to the router to upload the new firmware. |
