It must first connect with a PC and do this to authenticate the login and password then a UPC mac address used by the PC is saved to the modem upc. Then it must then connect the linksys router on the pc and make a clone of the mac address, meaning that the router will take the mac address of the PC in question and will then share this connection on the internal network.

    Start> Settings> Network Connections.

You should have a connection named "Local Area Connection" or something like that.

You are doing a right click on the icon and properties.

Then you select "Internet Protocol TCP / IP" (or something like that ...), you click on the Properties button.

Then you select "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS address automatically".

    Ok
