    Exchange 2003 ActiveSync Logging

    Hello all,

In our office we just initiated ActiveSync in our Exchange FE/BE Environment. Its working amazingly. Now we would like to enable ActiveSync logging now to view which clients used it successfully or if someone had any issue. Also is there any security feature i can implement on the mobile devices for secure communication. Also i want to avoid synchronization if a mobile is stolen or sim is changed.

    thanks..!!

It is better if you use these scripts from the Exchange Team Blog produce some advanced ActiveSync Server usage stats using IIS Logs
http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/20.../403047.aspx.I remember me used the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync Mobile Administration Web Tool to recognize the last sync time fromhttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../bb508837.aspx here

Hi there because this EAS is based on IIS it's logged by default.I tried a set up is one front end server (w/no mailboxes) and two back-end servers, all Exchange 2003 on Windows Server 2003. Form-based authentication is enabled and SSL is required on front-end server. What kind of secure communication were you thinking about? If you have configured EAS after MS best practices the communication is already encrypted using SSL.

I meant to ask you are you using SSL? Or FBA? If your forcing SSL or using FBS you will HAVE to use 817379.Do you have the root cert installed on the device? Unless you have a third party Cert(versign), it must be.If your not using SSL. Do you have integrated enabled on the exchange folder in IIS? It must be.On the Micorsoft-server active-sync folder. It should just be basic.
