    Linksys WAG354G and MTU setting

I am using linksys WAG354G modem , I have problems with this modem desynchronization. I changed the firmware to the latest 1.01.05, the result is the same. I want to ask you that being slightly reduced the MTU to 1492 (instead of 1500) can reduce or avoid desynchronization ?

If you put the router between the PC and neufbox, you also lose speed?
(you must adjust the router to be in dhcp on the WAN - next box, and dhcp server on the LAN - PC side) If it is a modem only, then we must perhaps make a few settings on the router (MTU, MSS) and thus compare with the job of the routers
