exporting users from computers in workgroup to domain

hi,

i have computers members of a workgroup in our organization and want to establish a domain.
i need some way of exporting the local users in the computers with all their user preferences as they are to a domain.
can u guys plsssss help me?

Try this solution. Hope this can help your. First you will have to build a query. Open Active Directory of Users and Computers. First create a query and assign a proper name to it. then select the root that has all the users only. Then include the subcontainers if needed. Then build a query sting like Users > Name > Value. After that you can export the data from this. Then right click on the data section > view > add/remove columns. Select a 3 column assigning username, email, name, etc. Then in the Data Section right click and click on Export list. Enter a file and save the file as .csv format.

thnx for the reply, but i think you misunderstood me (or i misunderstood your solution).
from what you're suggesting you think i am already in domain. well i am not. we have a workgroup and wish to migrate to a domain. how can i have AD users and computers in a workgroup?
if i missed anything pls tell me
