Information on arucer.dll

Hi friends,

Today when i was working on my college project for that i was making some presentation in PowerPoint 2007. I came across arucer.dll. I have seen this file name for the first time and don't have much more information about it when i try to ask my friends about arucer.dll, i came to know that it's an virus is it true ? Can anyone provide me some more information about it.

No it's not a virus basically rundll32 is located at C:\WINDOWS\system32\Arucer.dll and it basically get automatically started from a Run, RunOnce, RunServices, or RunServicesOnce entry in the registry if you want to remove it fro startup then type msconfig in the run Option and press Enter an window would get open over here click on startup tab and remove the file from here, then click on Apply and OK.

Basically arucer.dll file is being related to Energizer Duo which is a device that can charge batteries via your computers USB port. it might happen that once you have connected this charger on your computer that's why you are getting this arucer.dll . But if then too you think that it's a virus then i would suggest you to install latest version of anti virus and scan it to remove arucer.dll file from your computer.
