Make sure whether your error TCP / IP or not mentioned. If necessary, restart the computer again new, to determine whether the error on TCP / IP refers. In each case, the e-mail protection and not the Norton AntiVirus-status window reports that the e-mail test failed.

    To solve the problem
    • This problem may occur if the NAV startup files when starting the computer no longer loaded. This can occur if you have a software problem in Windows 98/Me or XP using the Windows System Configuration Utility fixed and these files for autorun disabled. To solve the problem, open the Windows System Configuration Utility and make sure that the NAV startup files are marked.
    • Verify that the registry keys NAVProxy and SYMTDI exist. Are these registry keys do not exist, add it added.
    • Install the Symantec redirector drivers.
    • Make sure your firewall is not the ports 110 or 25 blocks.
    • To circumvent the problem, uninstall NAV restart the computer, delete the Symantec Redirector files and install new last NAV.

    • Type msconfig in the Open box and click OK. The System Configuration Utility appears.
    • Click the Startup tab.
